Spinal Decompression at Allt House

Back pain has a way of shrinking your life. You stop picking up your kid the same way. You plan car rides around how long you can sit. You get told your options are medication, injections, or surgery, and none of those sound like what you wanted.

Spinal decompression is the option in between. It's non-surgical, it's not a shot, and it works on the actual pressure causing the problem.

How It Works

What Spinal Decompression Does

Your discs sit between the bones of your spine, and when one bulges or herniates, it presses on nerves that don't like being pressed on. That's the pain running down your leg. That's the numbness in your arm.

Decompression gently stretches the spine to take pressure off those discs and nerves. The stretch creates negative pressure inside the disc, which supports nutrient exchange and your body's own healing response. Nothing is cut, and nothing is injected.

What to Expect

What a Session Looks Like

You'll start with a consult and exam so we can confirm decompression is right for you. Not everyone is a candidate, and we'd rather tell you that up front.

During the session you lie comfortably on a decompression table while gentle, computerized traction targets the affected area. Most people describe it as a slow, mild stretch. Some fall asleep.

Sessions run about 20 to 30 minutes. A series is usually recommended, since the response builds over repeat visits rather than arriving all at once.

Benefits

What It May Help

  • May help relieve neck and back pain
  • May reduce pressure on discs and nerves
  • May ease sciatica discomfort and improve mobility
  • May reduce tension and stiffness

Spinal decompression commonly addresses herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, chronic pain, pinched nerves, and facet syndrome.

Appropriateness is confirmed during your exam. Individual results vary.

Candidates

Who It's For

Decompression is worth asking about if you:

  • Have low back or neck pain that keeps coming back
  • Have pain, numbness, or tingling running into an arm or leg
  • Have been told you have a bulging, herniated, or degenerating disc
  • Want to try something before considering injections or surgery
  • Sit or drive for hours a day and feel it in your spine
All In One

Decompression Works Better With Care Around It

Decompression takes pressure off the disc. Chiropractic care keeps the joints moving the way they should. Massage therapy relaxes the muscles that keep pulling everything back out of place.

Most people get their best results doing more than one of those, which is exactly why we built Allt House the way we did. Your decompression table, your adjustment, and your massage therapist are all in the same building. Nobody else on the Treasure Coast has that.
